"No fault divorce would remove upset" they say, what rubbish!

Friday January 8, 2010 at 4:54pm

The Press has recently been asking for "no fault divorce" on the basis that to have it would reduce conflict and upset between people who want to get a divorce.

What rubbish!

The upset and conflict is there well before people go to lawyers, in my experience and is nothing to do with pieces of paper that have to be completed.

That said, I am actually for no fault divorce but on the basis of reality--if both want a divorce why should there be any block to them doing so?

Or maybe I'm wrong. Tell me.
